Tragic events are often the source of pressing needs. The Hope Community knows this first-hand and we seek to provide access to books and music addressing various tragedies. In addition, we desire to create networking opportunities so that those who are grieving can contact others who are also experiencing pain, to share the load.

1. Phil and Karen Lazo lost their 8-year old daughter Lindsay-Grace in January, 2003. During the pain, they sought and found the good, and through it all one word kept coming to mind...Trust.  To read their story, Click Here...
2. Joe and Debbie Mayer were ready to celebrate the wedding of their son when tragedy struck New Years Day 2004.  Read this incredible story of faith in action: Click Here...
3. Nathan and Connie Backstrom were blind sided when their three boys were suddenly taken in an auto accident.  Through the anguish and pain, they were given hope.  Click here read about it.
4. Jim Morrison met Phil on a retreat in January 2005.  There were over 400 men at this retreat and God put him in Phil's room.  He lost his 8-year old son Chase in an accident in November 2004.  Click here to read Jim's Story...
5. Jana Alayra is a musical artist with whom many can identify. She is a wife, mother, and friend, busy with the daily routine of tending to the lives of her three young daughters and producer husband, Ron.  In 1996 Jana was dealt a blow only a few of us ever have to accept.  Her 4-year old daughter Lynnie was killed in an auto accident.  In the midst of tragedy Jana found hope.  "Every parent's worst nightmare.  Many tears.  But then again, that simple faith comes in. ..I simply threw myself at the foot of the cross and said, "Lord, You better be who You say You are, or there's no point in this life. 6. Eric Herzberg is a proud father and a Gold Star parent.  His son Eric, a brave Marine, was killed in Iraq in October, 2006.  Though the pain and grief are immense, Eric Sr. and his wife Wendi are pushed on by faith in God and the desire to make something good come from the loss.  Two scholarships have been set up to bring hope to others.

Pathways To Peace - The appeal of the Pathways to Peace presentation is due in part to it's timeliness.  It is cause for reflection on today's world, and what we can each do to contribute to higher ways - the ways of peace.  Our hope is that this presentation will provide you a few moments of peace, and the determination to help share that peace with others.  Enjoy.
