Our Annual Golf Classic exceeds expectations and raises

hopes for Matt's Place!

The Hope Community was blessed with 111 golfers and plenty of volunteers for our annual Golf Classic.  Our goal was to raise as much money as possible for Matt's Place and to remind as many people as possible, that hope can emerge from tragedy.  The weather was perfect, we had a fantastic time, and the entire event was highly successful in raising funds for Matt's Place, a youth center to be built in Huntingtown, MD in honor of Matt Bertolaccini. 

Matt died in March of 2004 and his family found hope in working to build this center (please visit the Projects link.)

Matt's Place will feature a basketball court, skateboard park, cafe, game room, and much

more. You can read more about it at www.matts-place.org. The Bertolaccini's embody the spirit that The Hope Community strives for: a project born from adversity that

inspires hope, honors a lost loved one, and serves their community.
